Currituck's Child Nutrition Department is working towards providing healthier meal choices.  As your children go through the lunch line at their school, they should be seeing healthier options.  The following items are available on a daily basis:  sub sandwiches, chef salads, fruit cups, tossed salad, and fresh fruit.

As you visit your child's cafeteria, you will notice the Child Nutrition Department has also begun offering healthier snack options such as Baked Chips, fresh fruits and vegetables, 100% fruit juice drinks and bottled water.

New applications can be taken at ANY time during the school year, however to remain last year's status, for the 2011-2012 school year, the application must be received no later than October 11, 2011.   Students on Free and/or Reduced Lunch last year will remain at the same status for the first 30 days of school. Applications must be submitted annually. In order to maintain status from one year to the next, applications need to be received during this 30 day window.
