Our goal at MES is to introduce the students to the wonderful world of technology! We are always working to integrate technology across the curriculum and with our mounted SmartBoards in all of our elementary classrooms as well as our Classroom Response Systems.
In the computer lab the students will learn about word processing, databases, spreadsheets, Internet safety, publishing, and making multimedia slideshows.
I am very excited to be Geocaching and Earthcaching with our MES students. We will be sending out a "Travel Bug" into the community and track it to see how far it will go, with a goal of traveling all 50 states! We will be doing Geocaching with all grade levels using traditional as well as virtual caches. We will be doing Earthcaching with the 4th and 5th grade students. We will also be learning how to send and receive emails for all 3rd thru 5th graders.
